Phinda Private Game Reserve is a natural treasure, featuring 7 distinct habitats and forming a pivotal link between the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. Phinda has exceptional accommodation in 7 distinctive lodges set in scenic locations on the Reserve. The varied accommodation makes your wedding invite list easier as children of all ages can be accommodated if needed. Various locations on the reserve can be chosen, making your wedding day that much more exciting.

Your Wedding Ceremony

Phinda Game Reserve is the perfect setting for a wildly romantic wedding. You can choose between various styles and venues that can of course be adapted to suit your individual needs.

Your ceremony can take place on the main deck overlooking the bush. After the ceremony, and signing of the marriage certificate, you will be driven to the river where you and your guests will board a river cruise boat, and sail down the river whilst enjoying romantic sundowners. Thereafter, a private dinner can be organized at a venue of your choice.

Another option is a romantic bush wedding. You will be transferred to the wedding venue in the bush. On arrival, you will be serenaded by an African Choir. After the ceremony and signing of register, your guests will be transferred to a scenic bush venue for champagne cocktail sundowners. After sunset, your guests will move on to a private bush location, or return to the lodge for the celebratory wedding dinner.

Decor and Services:

You can pick from a wide choice of wedding cakes, from a traditional iced fruitcake to a glamorous French 'Croquenbouche'. Beautiful fresh flowers can be organized for the wedding and you can be supplied with quotes of specific flowers e.g. huge bowls of roses or lilies. Alternatively, a florist can be recommended who will arrange everything to suit your needs. A skilled wedding photographer can be recommended as well.

The confetti used is eco-friendly; either dried or fresh rose petals, dried seeds, rice or bubbles. If you are interested in gifts for your guests, perhaps a welcome note, a farewell gift or even a long stemmed rose on their pillow on your wedding day. More turndown ideas like homemade nougat on guests' pillow or champagne will inspire you. For that extra touch, you can be provided with special wedding ideas like a special boma evening, a bush breakfast or a morning game drive 'the day after'.

Entertainment:

Should the wedding couple wish so, music or entertainment, for example theatrical performances or song and dance, can be arranged for your bridal party to add an African cultural touch.

Religious Services:

The services of a priest or magistrate depending on the denomination of the wedding couple can be arranged. Depending on the time of the ceremony the priest or magistrate could join the reception and overnight, as there are no transfers late at night for safety reasons.
