The reception can be held under the open sky in the Boma (enclosure), especially atmospheric at night under the stars and with traditional Zulu dancing or in the lovely restaurant for an unforgettable safari wedding in South Africa.

The Wedding Night

For romance, luxury and privacy Windfall Cottage at Emdoneni Lodge is the ideal KwaZulu-Natal wedding accommodation and retreat for as long as you like. Luxuriate in garden and bush views from the bath or step into the ultimate private outdoor shower surrounded by nature.

This destination wedding in South Africa offers lodging in a grove of Marula trees and is spacious with a lounge and DSTV, romantic bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Guests have a private patio from which to view the Impala and Zebra as they roam around the cottage grounds.

Emdoneni Lodge has 33 Chalets and 6 Rondavels (round and thatched with 2 bedrooms each) for guests of the bride and groom. All the en-suite rooms at this beautiful KwaZulu-Natal wedding accommodation have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, tea and coffee facilities, laundry service and housekeeping twice a day. Children are welcome at Emdoneni Lodge.

The Wedding Venue

Emdoneni Lodge is located in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The lodge has a magnificent position between 2 Big Five game reserves and the World Heritage Site of Greater St Lucia Wetlands in Zululand - making it ideal for a destination wedding safari.

The gardens at Emdoneni are lush and game animals wander freely about the grounds, there is also a refreshing swimming pool. The lodge is a 2 and a half hour drive north from Durban on the Elephant Coast.

The lodge is situated on a small owner run game farm with wonderful bushveld scenery and indigenous sand forest which creates a stunning leafy and elegant backdrop for wedding portraits in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

The Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre for orphaned and injured animals has Cheetah, Caracal (Lynx), Serval and African Wildcat guests can get very close to these endangered creatures and enjoy special interaction with them.
